  7. Prepare as required Oil for fry
  8. Take 1 pinch Baking soda

To it add spring onions, rice flour, wheat flour and mix nicely to make a soft dough. Apply oil to hand or to polythene sheet and take small dumpling spread it like vada and deep fry in hot oil until it is crispy on medium flame. Now crispy ulligarellu (or) onion Vada is ready to serve. Chopped spring onion is mixed with rice flour batter and gram flour along with crushed roasted coriander seeds, chilli powder, mint leaves and a few other ingredients to make a mouthwatering pakoda.

Steps to make Spring onion vada:
  1. In a bowl mix suji and curd. Keep the mixture for rest for 10 minutes
  2. Now add salt, red chilli powder, garam masala and baking soda and mix properly.
  3. Now take mixture and shape it as vada by making hole inside with finger. Deep fry these vadas till golden colour.
  4. Crunchy and tasty vadas are ready.

Now crispy ulligarellu (or) onion Vada is ready to serve. Chopped spring onion is mixed with rice flour batter and gram flour along with crushed roasted coriander seeds, chilli powder, mint leaves and a few other ingredients to make a mouthwatering pakoda. The key to making Crispy Spring Onion Pakoda is that you need to add very little water to make a thick batter.
